A Bunny with A cause
I am excited to share these Bunny dolls.
It is a first batch, hopefully from many to come, made with love by my two lovely friends in the Philippines – Arcely and her daughter, Flora-Mae. Arcely was my elderly mother’s caretaker for over nine years and was dedicated to my mother’s well-being with so much love and care. After my mother passed away, Arcely had to leave back to the Philippines, Where she could not find work for too long and since the pandemic, it has become even harder. Since I make dolls and toys, I offered her and her daughter to join me and create wonderful gifts for babies and they immediately got to work.
I sent them organic cotton, a sewing machine and taught them how to create this design. All online. And they sent me the finished dolls so I could send them to you here in the U.S.
